Helen Cody, class of 1983, Fashion Designer and ARC Cancer Support Ambassador

Helen Cody’s experience in the world of fashion spans almost 3 decades.

Graduating in fashion and textiles from NCAD and then moving to Paris to work for French Vogue and Azzedine Alaia, she developed her skills as a leading stylist for fashion magazines, music videos, TV Commercials and Celebrities .

She has worked extensively in London Paris and New York  for the worlds leading publications.

She returned to Ireland from London after 5 years in 2013 and re-established her fashion label, launching her unique bridal collection in spring 2014, followed by a season in Ireland’s top department store Brown Thomas as part of the CREATE initiative.

In January 2015 Helen was selected for the DCCOI Critical selection Portfolio Project, the first fashion designer to be included with 22 of Ireland top creator makers.

In March 2015 she was made KFW and Image magazine Irish Fashion Designer of the year.

In Sept Helen was asked by the Irish consulate to travel to  Shanghai to talk at the Successful design Awards ceremony.

Her work has been exhibited in the royal college of Art London. The Centre Culturel In Paris the Solomon Galleries and Dublin Castle, as part of the PORTFOLIO exhibition.

She has dressed many Irish and international celebrities ,on the red carpet at the Oscar awards, Cannes film festival, The Tony  Awards and numerous Irish and international premieres .

Specialising in beautifully crafted, hand made, unique, or limited edition pieces, often taking many months to complete, using only the finest Italian, and French silks, organza’s, Cashmere and laces.

She works from her Dublin 8 studio and is available by appointment.
