Mount Anville Business Networking Lunch
MAPPA is delighted to announce details of the second annual Mount Anville Business Networking Lunch which will take place on Friday 7th February 2025 at Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club at 1pm.
The theme for this year’s lunch is ‘Sisterhood’ celebrating the power of women supporting and uplifting each other in business and beyond.
Our panel of speakers are Mount Anville sisters Joanne Byrne, Director Presence PR; Elaine Byrne, Artist and Business Consultant and Ciara Byrne, Vice President of New Business Innovation at Condé Nast. The discussion will be facilitated by Kathryn Maher, MAPPA Vice President and Director of Client Relations at the Family Business Network Ireland.

Joanne Byrne set up Presence PR with Sinead Ryan in 2003 and has worked with a large number of national and international brands from Aldi to Emerald Park. Joanne oversees Presence People and is an agent for a number of well known Irish personalities including Nicky Byrne, Lucy Kennedy and Mairead Ronan. For over ten years she has also worked as a Unit Publicist on film and TV sets most recently ‘Small Things Like These’ as well as working red carpet events and film festivals around the world. She has also since their inception worked with Westlife.
One of her first jobs was working as Executive Director at The Variety Club of Ireland – a children’s charity that taught her the power of a well written thank you note and she continues to support a number of charities – she is currently on the fundraising board of Debra Ireland as well as supporting the equine therapy unit of Child Vision.
Joanne studied English at UCD before studying for an MBS at Smurfit Business School and then securing an MA in Communications from DCU.
Elaine Byrne is an artist working multimodally with video, sculpture, and photography. Represented by the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, Dublin, she has exhibited extensively across Europe, Mexico, and the USA. A Rubinstein Fellow of the Whitney Independent Study Program (2015), Elaine’s research focuses on borders and contested spaces, particularly in the Arctic, where she has undertaken multiple residencies. She has won many awards including RHA Curtin O’Donough photography prize, 8th Arte Laguna prize (Venice) and the Combat art prize (Milan). Her work is included in many public collections such as the National Collection of Ireland, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Arts Council of Ireland, the Office of Public Works and the Rosenbach Museum and Library, Philadelphia. She is a consulting artist to Creative Capital (New York) and teaches at Sotheby’s Institute of Art (New York) and at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Alongside her artistic career, Elaine contributes her strategic expertise as a leader in PwC’s EMEA Business Development team, where she focuses on large-scale opportunities. She has also provided consulting services to arts organizations such as the Craft Council of England and Camden Arts Centre.
Elaine holds a PhD from Temple University, a M.A (VIS) from IADT, a Masters in Business from Smurfit Business School, UCD.
Ciara Byrne is the Vice President of New Business Innovation at Condé Nast. She is responsible for launching international businesses for Condé Nast brands, such as Vogue and GQ, around the world, creating new propositions such as Vogue Business and Vogue Club. Using a design thinking lead framework her team develops businesses from conception through to implementation across direct to consumer and B2B models. Ciara and her team develop the Condé Nast global strategy for emerging trends and technologies from blockchain technology to AI.
Ciara sits on the board of British Fashion Council as a Non-Executive Director responsible for digital innovation and also on the World Economic Forum Global Future Council.
Before joining Condé Nast, Ciara spent five years at Google in Dublin and London.
Ciara earned an International Bachelor of Arts Degree at University College Dublin in English and Philosophy and secured the position to study Philosophy at the Sorbonne IV Paris. She attended UCD Michael Smurfit Business School where she completed a Masters in Management. Ciara also completed a Degree in Piano Performance at the London College of Music.
